Job detail
|
- Responsible for coordinating, planning and administering accurate radiation treatment to patients.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical support throughout patients’ course of radiation therapy.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform CT simulation, treatment device construction, and dosimetry calculations based on departmental protocols and Radiation Oncologist–approved treatment plans
- Operate radiation therapy machines and related equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and radiation safety practices
- Adhere to radiation safety standards, occupational health and infection control guidelines
- Conduct quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and radiation dose documentation
- Ensure high standards of patient care and timely escalation of treatment-related side effects
- Guide and mentor student Radiation Therapists assigned to the unit
- Participate in departmental professional development, education, and research activities
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisor
