The 2025 Urban Resilience (Air Defense) Drill will be conducted today (July 16) in Kaohsiung. When hearing an air raid siren or receiving a mobile emergency alert, please follow the instructions of police and civil defense personnel and evacuate to a nearby shelter.

The drills will take place from 1:30 pm to 2 pm

l   The air defense siren signals are as follows:

 (1) Air raid alert signal: A 15-second long tone and a 5-second short tone, repeated three times with 5-second intervals (total duration: 115 seconds).

 (2) All-clear signal: One continuous long tone lasting 90 seconds.

The exercises will incorporate air raid alerts, evacuation drills, and traffic control across public transportation, consumer spaces, and government buildings. During the exercises, operations at public and private venues will be temporarily suspended.

The public is urged to remain calm once sirens sound, especially drivers. Drivers should not break traffic laws and instead pull over safely, exit their vehicle, and proceed to the nearest shelter.

Anyone who fails to comply with the drill may be fined NT$30,000 to NT$150,000 in accordance with the Civil Defense Act.
