The Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at Chang Gung University (CGU), Taiwan, has two full-time/tenure-track position openings at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, starting February 1, 2026 or August 1, 2026.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in materials science and technology (nanomaterials, biomaterials or calculation in materials), energy material-related technology and semiconductor-process technology. Job responsibilities include research, teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and departmental-wide services (e.g., mentorship to students).

 

Required qualifications: We invite applicants with a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related fields. Applicants for the Assistant Professor position must have earned a Ph.D. degree prior to August 1, 2025, preferably demonstrating international or industrial experience.


Compensation and benefits: CGU offers internationally competitive compensation package commensurate to professional experience. Start-up funding for lab equipment is available for new hires. Health insurance and retirement benefits are provided according to government regulations in Taiwan.
